The race begins in Miami and quickly moves to Mexico City. ?Pandhandling racers, lost luggage, and donkey induced face plants fill this frenetic episode. ?Let the race begin!

With the number of teams in the race during this episode, and the time taken by the introductions, this episode was a bit of a jumble. ?Notable highlights of the episode include Derek & Drew’s decision to leave their stuff in the taxi. ?A good idea, but one that seems to have lost them some time. ?With the editing, it is very difficult to tell how much time they actually lost. ?But from their comments on camera, it seems they didn’t realize that the taxi driver was driving around the traffic circle waiting for them to return. ?At least they won’t be leaving their bags in taxi’s anymore.
The other notable scenes from this episode involved Heather & Eve. ?The first scene being their panhandling in the Miami airport. ?While this may have earned them some extra money, (more than $50 bucks according to the episode), I imagine the garnered a good bit of ill will not only with the viewing audience, but also with any other racers who might have seen them doing it. ?And the other favorite scene is them getting dumped on their face in the donkey cart. ?Serves them right for stopping to begging in the airport.
Those are the things that stick out in my mind from this episode. ?The race is off to a frantic start. ?Time to sit back and watch them battle it out for the rest of the race.
