So, Amanda & Chris are dating, but they “usually hate each other”. That is just a little bit screwed up. It certainly doesn’t make for a good pairing in a race around the world. And as we have seen in previous Races, this race is not the best way to fix a messed up relationship. Just ask Tara & Wil. Amanda seems like an alright person, but her fears may be a problem for her as the race goes on. She’d be in a world of hurt if the race ends up visiting the Temple of Spiders or something similar.

Chris must have been a reject from Survivor. Either that, or he is TAR3’s Aaron reincarnated. He plans to “scheme, betray, plot and backstab more than any other contestant.” Um, Chris? There is no schemeing and betraying in this game unless you’re going to try to betray and backstab your partner. I don’t think the other teams are going to particularly care about you.

I don’t see these two lasting much past the middle of the race. I think they’ll spend too much time fighting with one another, and creating wacky schemes to screw the other contestants. Although wacky schemes didn’t seem to hurt Blake & Paige too much.
