Leg 1: Racer Rankings
04 Jun
Well, I’ve had a bit of time to think back on the first leg and form opinions on some of the racers. Here’s some quick bits covering my impressions of them from the first leg. Share you’re feelings in the comment section.
Amanda & Chris
She has a real potty mouth and needs to just shut up already. I’ve seen comments from many people that love her because she swears just like they do. But in my opinion, it doesn’t help my opinion of her at all. He is pretty much a blank at the moment. So, this team finds itself in the Dislike column.
David & Jeff
What can you say? They can’t find they’re way out of the baseball park. They head off in the wrong direction on the mountain and try to hijack the snow modiles. And they end up squeaking into the pitstop near the back of the pack. They seem like nice enough guys from what I’ve seen so far, but I don’t know if they have the smarts to keep up in this race. They certainly have shown any yet. I’ll leave these two in the Undecided column.
Debra & Steve
I loved these two. They may not have been in the best shape, but they gave it their all. And they kept their cool to the last. Steve crying over the lost opportunity for room at the hotel was sweet. And Debra’s struggle to get across the bridge was inspiring. To bad things didn’t work out differently. These two were definately in the Like column.
Jon & Al
They seem to be having lots of fun so far. Almost seem like a repeat of Ken & Gerard from the last race. They haven’t made any mistakes yet, and I loved the clown noses at the pitstop. How Phil was able to keep a straight face I’ll never know. Like column all the way.
Kelly & Jon
Who? We’ll leave them in the Undecided column.
Millie & Chuck
She’s definately a firecracker. And did you see her hoof it across the snow. Go, Millie! Go! As for Chuck, who is he? No real impression on him other than he doesn’t seem to want to get married. Trust me, Chuck! It’s not as bad as you seem to think. They go in the Like column for now.
Monica & Sheree
They need to work on their race skills. Taking the FF in the first leg when you’re almost guaranteed a mid pack finish is not a smart decision. Also, you need to stop worrying about how everyone is trying to screw you. There are more important things to worry about in this race. Undecided.
Reichen & Chip
One of them has a chip on his shoulder (no pun intended). Not sure which one, but other than that one comment, they are pretty much faceless at the moment. We’ll leave them in the Undecided column.
Russell & Cindy
Can you two quit fighting with each other? You’ll tear yourselves apart before the race even gets going at that rate. For your poor behavior toward each other, you go into the Dislike column.
Steve & Dave
Sorry to say this boys, but you’re gonna have to break a sweat if you want to stay in this race. I did appreciate that they were willing to help each other out when one of them hurt his knee. So I’ll put them in the Like column.
Steve & Josh
Josh rubs me the wrong way. He seems to be a bit cut throat in a game where backstabbing means very little. And Steve is a non-entity at the moment. So they land in the Dislike column this week.
Tian & Jaree
Ugh. Another team of women who think their beauty will get them through this race. Didn’t you watch Heather and Eve last time? Beauty will only get you so far before it misreads a clue on you and gets your butts eliminated. They end up in the Dislike column.
So, the tally for this week is 4 in the Like column, 4 in the Undecided column, and 4 in the Dislike column. Hmm. Stange how it came out that way. We’ll see how things change after this weeks Leg.
Tune in Thrusday night Pacific time, Friday morning Eastern, for the Summary of Leg 2.
