Leg 2: Cortina to Venice
After a wild ride down a ski slope, the teams catch trains to Venice and race through the winding streets, dead end canals, and dark rooms.
First, a few notes about this weeks stats. The on screen display has a discrepency. It showsSteve & Josh leaving the roadblock in 6th place, and Jon & Al leaving in 8th place. But no team is shown leaving between them. Also, according to this site, sunset in Venice in late January was just after 5PM.
Also, gathering the stats for this Leg, I realized that there are 2 teams who’s initials are R&C: Russell & Cindy and Reichen & Chip. So to avoid confusion, I will be using Rei&C for Reichen & Chip and R&C will be Russell & Cindy. At least last year they put the names in a different order.

Cap’n Cosmic –
Thanks so much for pointing me to your site — this is the kind of info that makes the race more fun.
Also, you’ve put sunset at just AFTER 5pm, but they showed a clip labeled 4:59pm with a pitch black sky. I believe effective sunset was a little earlier in that location.

If you find any mistakes in the summaries, please let me know. Also, feel free to contribute additional info. I generally try to limit the Summaries to stuff that is shown in the episodes. So, if you see a clock with the time, let me know. But if you read in an interview that the racers said it took 15 minutes to do a roadblock, I most likely won’t include that.
