Leg 5: Racer Rankings
02 Jul
Leg 5 took the Racers to the home of windmills rides, skinny bridges, wriggling eels, cheese weighing, and poop digging. My impressions of a few of the teams have improved, and a few have dropped. And the Clowns are joined on the love list by my second favorite team.
Read on for the full scoop.
David & Jeff
These two are finally starting to show a little personality. I commend then for not giving up even though the missed their flight, or for panicking and trying for the fast forward. They kept there cool, and ran a solid leg once they got to Amsterdam. Hopefully they’re learning how the race works. Keep up the good work guys!! Like
Jon & Al
How can you say anything bad about these two. Their fun to watch, they race smart, and they still like each other. The pulled off a solid second place finish in Amsterdam. I still Love these two.
Kelly & Jon
Kelly & Jon seemed to be having a lot more fun this week. Although I don’t really care for there “humor”. The constant comparisons of everything to sex are tiresome, and not something I would want my children to here on TV at 8pm. I guess they’re shaping up to be the team that I love to Hate.
Millie & Chuck
Millie seems to have hit the wall this week. She spent most of the time in Amsterdam being dragged along by Chuck. My initial like of this team has slowly withered away as I’ve gotten to see more of them. Chuck isn’t too bad, but Millie has really started to get on my nerves with her constant badgering of Chuck. They’ve slipped a few notches on my list and now find themselves back on the Undecided list.
Monica & Sheree
Monica & Sheree just keep plugging along. They ran a very good race this week, and aside from getting the car stuck, they had no major mishaps. I hope they go far in this race. They get to join The Clowns on the Love list.
Reichen & Chip
I think I’ve softened up on these two. Probably because they only spent a couple minutes playing the “Line Game” at the beginning of the leg. Once they got separated a bit from everyone, they were much more likable. And they finally seemed to start enjoying themselves during the Cheese detour. I’ll leave them on the Dislike list and see how things go this next week.
Steve & Dave
Well, the slowness finally caught up with these two. You’ve gotta hustle to stay in this game guys. They were a fun pair though, so I’ll leave them on the Like list for their final week.
Tian & Jaree
These two were a train wreck this week. I don’t know what happened to Tian, but she crashed hard. You could tell from her actions that she just didn’t care anymore. I understand the feeling, because I get that way when I get really tired. I suppose that’s what she gets for pushing so hard during the first 4 legs. Jaree seems to have seized the opportunity to turn the tables on Tian and lay into her in the same way Tian has been harassing Jaree. These two have dropped a couple notches, but they’re still on the Dislike list.
