As this race nears an end, I’m going to look into my cloudy crystal ball and make predictions for the end of the race. Given my average on the last prognostication, I wouldn’t recommend anyone placing money based on what I predict. With that out of the way, on to the predictions!

State of the Racers

Danny & Oswald have managed to keep their cool through most of the race and have managed not to make enemies of the other teams. This should allow them to avoid any potential Yield situation.

Mirna & Charla are somehow continuing to stay in the race despite being the least “All Star” of any of the racers to start this race. Some how they always seem to sneak into the pit stop just avoiding elimination or non-elimination. Based on the previews of this next episode, things might be starting to unwind for them. But previews are notoriously unreliable ways to predict the outcome.

Dustin & Kandice have been running a very strong race, but have gotten on the wrong side of most of the remaining racers. They seriously have to watch out for a Yield in their future. Previews suggest an attempt to buy off another team to avoid the Yield. Not sure how that will pan out. But they are definitely a team to beat.

Eric & Danielle are now marked for elimination. Their bests strategy would be to try to beat someone to the Yield mat and make use of the Yield. This would give them a roughly 30 minute cushion. If they can extend that by just a little bit, they can wait out the penalty and survive. But given their performance last week, I don’t expect them to be able to extend any kind of lead.

Predictions

Now that we’ve reviewed the situations surrounding each of the teams, I’ll throw out my predications for the final three legs.

Episode 10: Dustin & Kandice will continue their strong racing and easily make it into the final 3. Eric & Danielle will try to use the Yield, but their inability to work together and find the tasks will cause them to bleed the time they gain. This episode will end with Eric & Danielle being eliminated, Dustin & Kandice in 3rd, Mirna & Charla in Second, and Danny & Oswald leading the pack.

Episode 11: The fight for the million will make Dustin & Kandice and Danny & Oswald push hard for a close finish for first. Mirna & Charla will flounder in third place with neither of the other teams willing to help them out.

Episode 12: The race to the finish will conclude with Danny & Oswald getting beaten out by Dustin & Kandice. Mirna & Charla will pick the wrong cabby to badger and will be way behind.

So there you have it, Dustin & Kandice to take the million. Am I right, or am I full of it. Who do you think will win?
