From Italy to the bustling city of Mumbai, India. Quite the culture shock for the teams, and an opportunity for Kynt & Vyxsin to extract themselves from last place.
Leaving Italy, everyone struggles to find the best flight out. But only Nick & Don manage to get tickets and a full nights rest. With tickets in hand, everyone is off to India. A delay in Paris, however, allows TK & Rachel to surge ahead.
Once in India, the teams race to a newspaper stall to find their next clue. In a diabolical task, the clue is hidden as an advertisement somewhere in the paper. When the stall opens in the morning, the teams start looking. Instead of working together, Nate & Jen resume their bickering while the other teams divide and conquer. The bickering has its expected effect and Nate & Jen are the last team to find the clue. Way to work together, you two.
Next up is the Detour. At least it is for every one but Kynt & Vyxsin who must complete their Speed Bump (”A task that only one team must perform”). The task turns out to be a basic yoga session and doesn’t seem to cost them too much time. But they do end up at the back of the pack because of it.
Meanwhile, back at the Detour, Ron & Christina have a communications breakdown as Ron blames all their difficulties in her. Amidst the bickering, Nick & Don race ahead of them. Finally, Christina tells her father to sit down and shut up so that she can successfully finish the task.
The other teams, having chosen the other Detour option, are busy stringing flowers. TK & Rachel work calmly and efficiently as always and complete the task in now time flat. Nate & Jen bicker per their usual and Kynt & Vyxsin manage to catch up.
Leaving the Detour, they teams encounter the second U-Turn of the race. Nick & Don, Ron & Chrisitina, and TK & Rachel choose not to Yield anyone. Arriving at the U-Turn just ahead of Nate & Jen, Kynt & Vyxsin decide to use the U-turn. Kynt takes control of who they are Yielding, and in an example of utterly misreading the game, they choose to Yield Nick & Don, a team that is usually slow and might be behind them, instead of Nate & Jen, a team they know is very close by and quite possibly behind them. With that blunder, Kynt & Vyxsin tighten the noose around their necks.
Arriving at the Roadblock, the racers try their hand at delivering propane to customers. Both Jen and Kynt misread the clue, but Jen recovers from hers with a little help from one of her customers. Kynt, however, doesn’t discover his mistake until he tries to turn in his receipts.
Much hand wringing and tuk-tuk riding ensues, but it is Nate & Jen arriving in 4th place and Kynt & Vyxsin going home. Good Bye, Goths. It’s been real (sort of).
