Talk about unexpected roadblocks. I think this episode probably taxed the producers nearly as much as it taxed the racers. Their carefully laid out leg that was probably designed to have teams stretched out over a 4-6 hour stretch got hosed by the airline availability and now they have teams spread out over nearly 24 [...]

This was a fun leg with opportunity for teams to leap to the front or fall to the back. Leading to lots of gloating by some and self-flaggelation by others.

I’d like to take a moment here and do a little handicapping of the rest of the race based on where it stands at this moment. When last we watched, Rob & Amber had just been eliminated from the race, victims of Rob’s inability to spell or think clearly when the pressure was on.

Three legs into this race, Rob & Amber seemed to be the team to beat. They had 3 first place finishes, and hadn’t made a mistake. But this last leg everything seemed to go bad for them.
