Emmy Number Six Is in the Bag

The Amazing Race has snagged it’s 6th Emmy. It seems that this show is an unstoppable juggernaut. If you’ve seen the show, you know why. If you haven’t, next Sunday is your chance.

Amazing Race 12 Reruns Coming to Cable

The Travel Channel has acquired the rights to rebroadcast season 12 of The Amazing Race. If you missed last season, or just want to relive the memories, you can catch starting Wed, Sept 3 at 8pm.

For reruns of earlier seasons, you’ll have to check out either GSN for seasons 1 through 8, ore Fox Reality for seasons 9 through 11. I don’t get either channel, so I’ve been out of luck.

The Amazing Race Nominated For 2008 Emmy Award

The Amazing Race has once again been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Reality Television category. It’s up against the usual contenders, including American Idol. With 5 Emmy’s on the shelf, I expect it to walk away with another.

This year, a new category has been introduced for best Reality Show Host. Ryan Seacrest and Jeff Probst both made the cut, but our own Phil Keoghan didn’t make the list. I guess that’s what you get when your interaction with the contestants is limited to 30 second snippets at the end of the episode. Still, we love you Phil!

Season 12, Leg 10: Miracles Do Happen

Lest anyone think that miracles don’t happen anymore, I give you the penultimate episode of Amazing Race 12. For the first time in 12 seasons of this race, I’m not rooting against any of the final 3 teams.

As the teams leave Japan, [TK & Rachel][] are trailing by over 3 hours. But hours of operation at the first task, and a multitude of flights into Taipei, Taiwan allow them to close the gap and catch up with [Nick & Don][] and [Nate & Jen][] in the Taipei airport.
