The Amazing Race has once again been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Reality Television category. It’s up against the usual contenders, including American Idol. With 5 Emmy’s on the shelf, I expect it to walk away with another.
This year, a new category has been introduced for best Reality Show Host. Ryan Seacrest and Jeff Probst both made the cut, but our own Phil Keoghan didn’t make the list. I guess that’s what you get when your interaction with the contestants is limited to 30 second snippets at the end of the episode. Still, we love you Phil!

For the fifth year in a row, The Amazing Race has won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality/Compeition Program. Congratulations to World Race Production, Phil Keoghan, and all those who work hard to make our beloved show. Here’s looking to forward to more outstanding television when you return with The Amazing Race 12.
From Guam, to Hawaii, and finally San Francisco, the final three teams faced mother nature, airline schedules, and the US Mint in a race to the finish line at San Francisco’s Botanical Garden. In the end, it was Eric & Danielle that beat out a surging Dustin & Kandice to take the million dollar prize.

We are now less than 24 hours from the finale of The Amazing Race All Stars. Three teams remain: the beauty queens, the cousins, and the dating couple. Who will win? And will we be forced to endure Mirna spouting of about she’s the greatest racer of all time for winning The Amazing Race All Stars?
